No, we offer all our current students and their siblings a guaranteed spot for the following school year prior to open registration based on a first come first serve basis.
Yes. The Park District Early Childhood classes have the same holidays and vacation weeks as District 10, making it convenient for families with children in both schools. We also follow District 10 for cancellation due to snow/cold days.
Yes. After making the first payment when registering, we offer the option of either paying the balance in full by August or making monthly payments from August through March through a credit card or bank account.
All early childhood staff pass a background check and certifications.
Tiny Tikes students (age 2 on Sep. 1) are not required to be trained. Diapers, pull-ups, and underwear are all permitted. If a child has dirty undergarments, however, a parent will be called to change them. Preschool and Junior Kindergarten students should be able to use the bathroom independently.
No. Each classroom has its own bathroom(s) so that children don’t need to go out into the hall or lobby areas. They may use the bathroom whenever needed throughout their class time.
Yes. If there are class openings, tuition will be prorated for the remaining class time.
Yes. All classes take a break for a small snack and water which is provided by the family. All classrooms are nut-free.
Yes. Besides the core class offerings, we offer Enrichment, Lunch ‘N Learn, and Klub House extended day options. These programs can be combined to offer a place for your child from 7am- 6pm on your child’s class days.
Yes. Itasca Park District partners with NEDSRA for these services. They may include extra help for teachers to use as well as one-on-one leisure buddies for students. There is no extra cost to the parents for these services.
Yes. Classes held at the Rec Center all have access to the park. During colder weather classes use the gym and multi-purpose room. Enrichment classes held at Springbrook Nature Center have daily outdoor walks and activities to extend what has been learned in the classroom.
