Rules & Regulations

Patrons are expected to follow all rules and regulations as described in the Itasca Waterpark Rules and Regulations booklet. This booklet is available to all patrons upon request. Anyone unwilling to cooperate with the rules will be asked to leave the Waterpark.

Children under the age of 9 years old must be accompanied and directly supervised by a responsible person age 14 years or older.

Closing Policy

The Itasca Park District reserves the right to close the Waterpark due to:

  • Severe weather
  • Air temperature below 72 degrees
  • Operational difficulties
  • Low attendance

No refunds will be given for inclement weather.

The pool season starts the Saturday before Memorial Day

The Waterpark is located at 100 N Catalpa St. Itasca, IL 60143

Admission to the waterpark must be purchased in person.

Parking is available at the waterpark. Additional parking is available at the following locations:

  • Springbrook Nature Center
  • Depot Musuem
  • Municpal Complex

Re-entry is not permitted once you leave the facility.

However, if you need to step out briefly (for example, to retrieve an item from your vehicle), you may request a handstamp before exiting. Upon return, you must show the handstamp to the admissions attendant for re-entry.

According to Illinois Department of Public and Health Guidelines, the Waterpark may close due to inclement weather to prevent safety risks. No refunds are given for inclement weather.

  • Lightning/thunder: Patrons will be asked to evacuate the pool and head to the locker rooms until the pool staff deems it safe to reopen. (A minimum of 30 minutes from the last lightning strike).
  • Visibility: Patrons will be asked to exit the water when lifeguards on stand are unable to see the bottom of the pool due to heavy rain.
  • Temperature: The Itasca Waterpark reserves the right to close portions of the pool or the entire facility with temperatures below 72 degrees.

SPLASH ID Cards Required for Daily Resident Rates

To receive Itasca Park District daily resident fee at the Waterpark, a Resident ID Card is required to receive a $2 discount. ID cards are only given out at the Itasca Rec Center.

Yes, season passes are available for purchase. New season passes must be purchased in person at the Itasca Recreation Center, pass renewals may be purchased online or in person at the Itasca Recreation Center.

Yes, we offer group outings at the Waterpark. Groups must submit a “Group Outing Form” that can be found at our Park District front desk or on our website. Please feel free to call the Aquatic/Fitness Supervisor, Gosia Zalewska, for more assistance booking at 630.773.2257.

Yes, there are lifeguards on duty anytime there are patrons on the pool deck. 

Life jackets of various sizes can be rented out free of charge.

Patrons can bring their own life jacket as long as it is Coast Guard Approved – This determination can be found on the inside of the life jacket.

Guardians must be within arm’s reach of any child wearing a personal floatation device.

Inflatables/flotation devices are prohibited at the Waterpark for safety purposes. Lifejackets that are Coast Guard Approved are allowed. The Waterpark does have life jackets for patron use.

Riders must be 48 inches tall to use the large water slide. All riders must go alone as multiple riders on the water slide are prohibited. 

Swimming attire designed for aquatic setting is required to swim at the Waterpark.

All children who are not fully toilet-trained must wear rubber pants over a tightly fitting disposable swim diaper. To prevent contamination, diaper changing is prohibited on the pool deck.

In the unfortunate incident of a fecal matter found in the pool, the pool must be cleared for a minimum of 30 minutes.

All patrons entering the facility must pay admission fees.

Yes. Adults are required to supervise their children at all times. Children ages 9 and older may attend the Waterpark independently, however, waterpark staff are responsible for enforcing rules and responding to aquatic emergencies; they are not responsible for supervising children.

Children wearing life jackets must remain within arm’s reach of a supervising adult.

Lockers are available in the bathhouse at the Waterpark. It is strongly encouraged that you bring your own lock and lock away all personal belongings. The Park District is not responsible for any stolen or lost belongings.

The Waterpark offers shaded areas on a first-come, first-served basis unless reserved in advance. To guarantee a shaded space, patrons must complete a Rental Request Form and submit payment prior to their visit.

Yes – Swimming lessons are available for all ages! Chose from a variety of levels and group or private lessons.

Outside food and drinks are allowed in small cooler bags. We ask that all food be eaten in the grassy area or in the concession stand. No alcohol, glass containers, or sharp objects are allowed in the facility.

The Oasis concession open from 1-4pm offers a variety of foods, snacks, and drinks.
